Savoring Augusta Wines

These are general guidelines to help you enjoy our wines at their best. Most white and sweeter wines are ideal within 2-3 years, while dessert wines like Icewine can last longer due to their high natural sugar content. Red blends are best enjoyed within 3-5 years, depending on the varietals, while dry reds—with their higher tannin and alcohol levels—naturally age well over time.

If you’ve kept a bottle past its suggested cellar time—give it a try! Open it, let it breathe, and take a sniff. If it has an off or sour odor, it may not be drinkable. For sediment, simply filter through a coffee filter or cheesecloth.
